| What made you choose the JLayer project library over Sun's JMF?
I'm thinking I want to make an MP3 player myself for a personal home audio project/appliance.
Thanks for the player... its a great little app.

| Reason number one is that JMF is not part of JRE. Correct me if I am wrong, but I also think that JMF needs an additional plug in to play mp3. Then i tried JLayer which worked out perfectly.

| The newest JMF might have MP3, but I couldn't tell for sure...it just says mp3 "encoder" not "decoder." I didn't know about the JRE issue. Thanks again.
